We have all enjoyed an incredible three days hosting the 8th Annual FUE Conference at Crown Clinic and the Radisson Blue hotel here in Manchester
It was a great pleasure to welcome more than 200 delegates to our fantastic city for the largest FUE conference in the world.
I had so enjoyed attending previous FUE conferences at locations all over the globe and it was an honour and a privilege to be chosen by the board to host 2019’s event.
Obviously I could not have done this without the incredible support I have received from my team. A special thank-you to my two most loyal lieutenants – my peerless clinic manager Afshan Shafi, who has been with me every step of the way since I moved into private practice 12 years ago, and also the lovely Joanne South, my patient co-ordinator for many years.
Special thanks also to our Scientific Director John Cole for the extraordinary work he has done over the last year attracting world renowned speakers to our conference.
It was a wonderful to hear so many speakers over the three days including Dr Bill Rassman, Dr Khalil Khatri, Dr Matt Harries and Dr Michael Hamblin.
One of the highlights for me was the Live Surgery Workshops on Saturday afternoon which were beamed live to giant screens at the Radisson straight from the Crown Clinic surgical theatre. I greatly enjoyed working with Parsa Mohebi on the eyelash transplant live surgery.
Thanks, too, to The International Alliance of Hair Restoration Surgeons and Spencer Kobren’s The Bald Truth, who both do such a great job highlighting the brilliant work of so many hair transplant surgeons all over the world.
Of course, each FUE Europe conference is not just about work – it is about renewing friendships, seeing new countries and enjoying new experiences.
I like to think we excelled in this regard in 2019 particularly with the Gala Dinner on the last night at Manchester United’s Old Trafford Stadium.
I look forward to seeing you all again next year in Berlin – and thanks again for coming and making it such an unforgettable three days.
